Little WORLD Charity is an IRS approved 501c3 charity, so your donation is tax deductible. We are able to generate 300,000 child interactions (3 cents a smile) a year as a 100% volunteer-driven organization. Each new display costs about $2,000 to build and about $100 annually to maintain with replacement parts.
Spending Breakdown
Each display generates up to 10,000 “smiles” (button presses) a year to kids in need. Since we charge neither patrons nor the institutions we serve, we can only exist because of your donations. We are 100% volunteer, paying zero compensation. However a new, complete display and case can cost $2,000 and we need new sets to continue growing. Also, animated pieces wear out and have to be replaced. Finally, we have expenses for gas/mileage, the website, and for tools and supplies.
Every dollar you donate is a tax-deductible gift that will be used for the above. We will send you a thank you receipt for any donation, large or small.
